✵Uroschesis and ischuria: the uroschesis is difficulty in urination, the ischuria is anuria, seen in diseases of the urinary bladder and urethra with retention of urine, or in renal failure with extreme suppression of urine secretion. Together, uroschesis and anuria are known as lóng bì. Uroschesis and ischuria syndromes, and Dark urine syndrome are introduced.

Uroschesis and ischuria: the uroschesis is difficulty in urination, the ischuria is anuria, seen in diseases of the urinary bladder and urethra with retention of urine, or in renal failure with extreme suppression of urine secretion. Together, uroschesis and anuria are known as lóng bì.
In ancient classical works Nei Jing (the Inner Canon), they are recorded as two syndromes: one is uroschesis (lóng), another is anuria (bì), the sudden disease is known as anuria, dribbling of urine, having to go to the washroom, flatulence, and difficulty in passing urine; the chronic disease is known as uroschesis, wanting to urinate but not being able to do so, or urinating repeatedly but short of time.
In ancient classical works Nei Jing (the Inner Canon), it was recorded, "The urinary bladder serves as a reservoir,..." The diseases uroschesis and ischuria are diseases of the liver and triple energizers.
Internal reasons: heart-kidney imbalance, retention of heat in the lower, latent heat accumulates in lungs, damp heat pathogen in the spleen, sputum and saliva junctions, hyperhidrosis after long illness, anger in the liver, deficiency of the spleen causing weakness of Qi, etc.
External symptoms: yellowing of the nose, slightly feverish or severe heat, distension and fullness in the lower abdomen, stuffiness in the chest and abdomen, abnormal ache and pain.
A relevant syndromes dark urine is also introduced.
Dark urine.
Dark urine: dark yellow or even reddish urine, usually indicating the presence of heat; it is also known as reddish urine, or xiǎo biàn huáng chì. The dark yellow or reddish urine is a disease of excess heat; various reasons from Zang-viscera or Fu-viscera can cause it, especially excess heat in the lower.
Internal reasons: the internal reasons vary, mainly are: excess heat in the liver and stomach, so the urine turns yellowish or reddish; or deficiency cold in the lung and kidney, so the urine turns yellow or reddish; or deficiency of the spleen, so the urine turns yellowing or reddish; or there is heat in the lower abdomen; or kidney deficiency with fire; or heat accumulation in the urinary bladder, or retention of dryness in the small intestines.
External reasons: the external reasons are mainly related to six climates belonging to heat, and urine turns yellowish and reddish; for example, in the victory of Jue Yin, or the victory of Shao Yang, or Yang Ming dominating the climates, pathogenic dryness flows down; in these special periods of climates, urine can also turn yellowish and reddish.
