✵Overexertion syndrome:The overexertion syndrome is also known as overstrain (láo juàn), too much strain, or overfatigue. The overexertion syndrome is a morbid state caused by overexertion, manifested by fatigue, lassitude, fidgetiness, shortness of breath upon exertion, and spontaneous sweating.

The introduction of overexertion syndrome: one lives on the Qi from diet and drink, mainly stomach Qi. If one has excessive labor, stomach Qi is weak, then the Primordial Qi cannot be generated itself, and various kinds of diseases occur.
Internal reasons: excessive labor, disorders in daily life, sickness of both spleen and stomach, deficiency of nutrient Qi, deficiency of food essence, failure of the upper energizer, obstruction in the lower epigastrium, stomach-Qi heat.
External symptoms: (deficiency of middle Qi, flows down to liver and kidney, excess of Yin fire), fever and headache. Fall of Yingqi and Weiqi (nutrient Qi and defensive Qi), thus aversion to wind and cold, short of breath and vexed, dyspnea with thoracic flatulence, tastelessness, lassitude and often sleeping, flaccidity of limbs (flaccidity of arms and legs), unhealing spontaneous perspiration, cannot move or speak due to lacking of Qi, etc.
